Off Campus Options
Student Services offers Candidates for Enrollment additional help in identifying area housing. Attractive apartments offering sharing options are within walking distance. Roommate matching is also coordinated by Student Services. Student Services provides referrals to nearby housing based on requests for:
- Unfurnished apartment referrals with cost saving sharing plans
- Roommate referrals and meet-each-other opportunities
- Optional move-in service including College cargo van
In addition to housing, Student Services will provide assistance in locating part time jobs at convenient locations near the School. Such jobs will not be in the field of studies. Students with other needs and those with questions prior to official Acceptance should contact their Admissions Officer. Students who have received their Acceptance notification will be assisted by Student Services.
Early Start Important
It's smart to work with the Financial Planning Office and Student Services to establish an affordable budget plan that includes needed housing. Since there is popular demand for housing assistance, all Accepted students should utilize Student Services as soon as convenient. This office will review all details regarding availability, location and services. Job search may be coordinated prior to arrival. Ask for details.
Student Services and staff want to help coordinate housing details and other services for a successful college stay. However, each student is responsible for final details and following through on all plans.
Start With Your Admissions Officer
Housing assistance is part of the College acceptance process. Your Admissions Officer has basic information on housing and will arrange for you to visit Student Services and the Financial Planning staff. A caring staff member will offer budgeting planning details that include housing, setting up a tuition account, etc. From that point, Student Services "adopts" candidates who have completed their Master Attendance Plan (MAP). MAP starts with a checklist. Plan to use the MAP process for advice and information regarding housing, transportation, roommate coordination, part time job search, area shopping and dining. So, get started with your Admissions Officer and MAP not only your College stay, but your future as a Creative Professional. A call to 919.488.8504 will get you started.
